Anki brings Cozmo and Overdrive to Australia.
Anki OVERDRIVE is the launch product. It’s marketed as “the world’s most intelligent robot battle-racing system.” Anki OVERDRIVE Fast & Furious Edition was based on Fast & Furious films. Coszmo is a small robot with a “big brain” and a “big personality.”
Anki claims that harnessing robotics and artificial intelligence brings an “unattainable level” of intelligence and gameplay to the physical world. It blends the best of video and toys into an entertainment experience.
Anki says there are always new content and new ways to play all year round.
Cozmo, Anki OVERDRIVE, and Australian Geographic are available for pre-order at JB Hi-Fi. Anki OVERDRIVE Fast & Furious Edition can be pre-ordered only at JB Hi-Fi.
Boris Sofman (Anki’s chief executive officer and co-founder) stated, “Cozmo brings advanced robotics into your home in an engaging, emotive way.” “He was meticulously designed to be a deeply human-like robot, with character traits and personality similar to those seen in Hollywood movies. We are so excited to meet him finally.”
Sofman states that Cozmo was developed over six years by a group of “best and brightest roboticists and film animators as well as game developers and designers.” Harald Belker (Hollywood designer) is also part of the Anki team. He designed the Batmobile and, Tron: Legacy, Minority Report vehicles.
Sofman explains that players can take control of the future Supercars via their handheld mobile devices in the Anki Overdrive game. They battle against family and friends or AI-controlled commanders in various game modes. Or, they can go head-to-head with elite commanders during the campaign mode.
“Anki Overdrive takes a game we all loved as kids — slot cars –and thrusts it into tomorrow,” says Sofman. It’s a videogame in the real world that offers players a completely new gaming experience. Anki OVERDRIVE combines advanced robotics with gaming to bring physical products to life with intelligence and depth never before possible.
Sofman claims that the Anki OVERDRIVE Fast & Furious Edition allows players to relive classic movie scenes as they race against the Toretto crew or friends.
